THE BEST FRIED CHICKEN EVER!! If you’re around Amsterdam, YOU HAVE to go and try this place. Their burgers are amazing, their wings are hella crispy, and they have variety of amazing sides. I highly recommend this place. Plus, it’s Halal!

It’s difficult to find a place in Amsterdam that hits all the right spots: great food, service & price point. Ladybird has been a place that I’ve been wanting to try for awhile as I love fried chicken and it far exceeded my expectations. The fried chicken has a great batter (not too heavy) and the meat was juicy and moist! Wing ting was super yum, and so are the sauces (especially if you appreciate hot, spicy sauces). If you’re an absolute wing lover like I am, this is definitely the place for you. It’s hard to find a spot in Amsterdam that has good wing game — this is it. The cornbread was fluffy & delish, so is the tomato & okra — balances the heat and fried food super well! They also serve really good cocktails & dessert (try the pecan pie). But what completed the visit was the wonderful hospitality & service. The lovely and friendly Amsterdammer at the bar (we didn’t get his name) who helped us w our orders and general chat about the city + Anthony — one of the brains & chef of the place — an absolute boss and host in many sense of the word, y’all are wonderful. It was such a pleasure to have fried chicken there. We even got a signed copy of High Cuisine! ;) An absolute bangin’ place with great comfort food that is neither pretentious nor burns a hole in your pocket! I’d recommend it to anyone living here or visiting. Seeing Baldwin & Malcolm X on the walls of the place was also 🔥 Much love to the crew & Anthony for the great food & hospitality, wish more places in Amsterdam were like this :) we’ll defo be back!

Enjoyed a bite here on a Friday evening. Big bitties breasts were a somewhat unusual texture and the batter lacked flavour. Opted for the little bit spicy coating which is powder sprinkled on however it wasn’t much of a kick. The a la carts wings and drumstick batter seemed to have a little more flavour and decent meat texture. Cornbread and fries were tasty. The blue cheese sauce on the side wasn’t cheesy at all, and was advised its more of a goat cheese sauce. Buffalo sauce was more vinegar than the thick style you would expect. €2 per sauce is not terrible but it is a small paper cup size so could have been a little more generous imo. Friendly, helpful service and good cocktails.

I was amazed by the variety that the menu had and I love the idea of the side dishes next to your chicken. In my opinion, the corn bread was the best item on the menu. As for the chicken, I did not think it was so good. I order the regular one and it tasted a bit sweet and it was somewhat soggy. I do have to mention that service is quite quick so it’s a good place to go have lunch if you are in a hurry. Overall, I would encourage you to try it, however keep in mind is not the best place out there for chicken, but it does have a good environment and variety of food.

Food was amazing! The chicken is freakishly juice. The corn bread too. The kids love the ice cream, the chocolate one was good. Service was good, the waiters n staff friendly n chill See you guys soon

Very good! As a couple of American expats, we immediately walked in and digged the atmosphere. The chicken was expertly cooked and the right combination of crispy and juicy. My boyfriend doesn't normally care for sweet potatoes, but he's in love with the candied yams. Staff were friendly and very prompt, and the location next to the park makes for a great after-dinner walk.

We initially planned to grab takeout and leave, but ended up staying for delicious drinks and amazing conversation. Everyone was incredibly friendly, which made the whole evening an unforgettable experience! The wings and chicken pieces were perfectly fried, and the flavors were reminiscent of southern-style chicken. Overall, it exceeded expectations! Highly recommended! We'll definitely be returning.

Is just so great to sit at the bar and see the mastes in action. True soul food... The music and the staff are amazing... But the fried chicken... The fried chicken, the fried chicken is craaaazy! Please give your self the pleasure of this amazing place.
